Q: How can I cleanse my crystal?
A: Before you start using your Pure Crystal Candle, we ask that you cleanse them before using. Crystals are used to soothe and heal your mind, body, and soul. Cleansing and charging them are key steps in keeping the energy in your crystals balanced. After a while, they become heavy with all the energy that it has picked up along the way and cleansing them releases that weight.
Charging your crystal restores it back to it's natural state.
Get ready to let your mind, body & soul attract all the positive and powerful energies!
We recommended cleansing them at least once a month or when you feel your crystals have become heavy with any old or negative energy.
There are a few options for cleansing your crystals and we ask that you choose the method that attracts you the most (keeping in mind not all crystals can be cleansed in water):
Water cleanse - There’s nothing like a fresh bath! You can place your crystals in a bowl of fresh water for a few minutes, take them down to the beach or down by the river, or even leave them out on a rainy day. The fresh water washes away all that built up negative energy or place them in a safe bowl with sea salt water. Crystal clean!
Smoke cleanse - Let’s clear the air - and your crystal! Burn a smudge stick of your choice in a heat-safe dish. Whether it’s sage, Palo Santo, Yerba Santa, sweet grass, or incense, simply pass your crystals over the path of the smoke, allowing the smoke to wrap around your crystal. The smoke rejuvenates your crystal and brings it back to life.
Earth cleanse - Put your crystal back where it came from! You can bury your crystals right in your own backyard (or in front yard or in the soil of a potted plant). Placing them in their natural state resets your crystal - think of it as kind of like a rebirth. Simply bury them in the soil over night and remove the next day. You can also leave them buried for a few days for an intense, deep cleaning if you like. There’s nothing like a little bit of mother nature’s loving!
Q: How can I charge my crystals?
A: After your crystals have been cleansed, the other important step is to charge them. Charging your crystals will restore them back to their positive + powerful energies. Once they are charged, you can wear them, hold them in your pocket, purse, car, place them on your dresser at home or desk at work! However you choose to use them, they will be there to help manifest good energy and radiate positive vibes throughout your day.
There are a few options for charging your crystals and we ask that you choose the method that attracts you the most:
Sunlight or Moonlight - The powerful light of the sun or moon will penetrate your crystal and fill it with positive energy. Allow the crystals to be exposed an entire day or night, depending on which source you chose. If you choose moonlight, a full moon would be recommended for your crystals to absorb the natural energy.
Intention - You can charge your crystal by directing your thoughts into it. This is more of a meditation approach, so we recommend setting up your vibe (maybe light a your Pure Soy candle), then gather your cleansed crystals. For as long as you need, sit with your crystals directing positive intentions into each one. The more time spent directing the intentions, the more powerful your crystals are said to be.
Q: Why does the top of my candle have sink holes, looks bumpy/pitted/rough after I burn my candle?
A: The rough, bumpy tops after burning a soy wax candle are caused when the hot wax in the melt pool cools and solidifies at an inconsistent rate. This is a natural feature of 100% soy wax. This will not affect the performance of your candle.
Q: Why won't my wood wick stay lit?
A: Wood wick candle can be a little tricky to light the first time, but once you light it up, the ambience and sound they give off its truly beautiful. During the first light, it helps to tilt your candle and light the edge of the wick so your flame travels from edge to edge!
If your flame burns out right away, don't panic. Sometimes, you'll need to do this process a few times but trust me, once lit you'll be at peace with the crackling music your candle plays!
